A couple pieces of advice for people new to death-levelling:
1) Do it while you're at work, at school, asleep, etc. (No way would I actually grind that much by just sitting there helping my char die faster for hours on end - boring! - but I have no problem leaving my comp on while I'm at work or asleep.)
2) When levelling striders, try to get a spawn where they're already patrolling near the rez shrine before you aggro them. If you have to pull them there, they may wander out of your aggro bubble and stop attacking while you're resurrecting - it's less likely if the rez shrine is already in their patrol route. (Had one DLing all day yesterday, came home & the strider was only level 4 because he wandered some distance away.)

by letting the monsters kill you they used to get experience for your deaths but since a old update.im still not sure if they dont get expierice anymore or if they changed it back

couldnt you make a bot that used heal sig and then pressed esc before it healed you to make it go faster

Well it u left it on over night then u can only get like 1 monster too lvl 20 by killing u. But how many monster do u need to do in total?

Why not just level a character outside prophecies ?
Im lvl 20 and just started on prophecies campaign today, i have NF from before

Noyou didn't get his point.

The presearing Ascalon is the tutorial of GW Prophecies. Its a closed Area. If you leave the tutorial you can NEVER return there (instead like Factions or Nightfall tutorial, which are ONLY seperated islands)

The presearing (GW Prophecies tutorial plays 2 years before the story of the maingame. So its virtually impossible to travel back in time, which was his point.

To the other question: Its one hell of a time-consuming Leviathan.

My Charakter which I startet long before Factions was released is now lvl 19. For bout 4 months the DL was impossibe since a update which made leveling monsters unaivalable. Since the release of Nightfall the DL can be done again.
This title was only introduced with the release of nightfall, and the progress in your title menue is only shown if you have a HIGH lvl character in presearing, lvl 1-11 (or 1-13 dunno the excact) won't see anything there.
Its alike with the survivor title which progress shows up only when you are lvl 5 or higher and ndidn't die till then.

For the question if DL is possible after Proph tut: No, since IN presear ascalon there is no death penality. Every other place has Death penality. Monsters only DL with Players without penality (so that takes the ammo out of the guns of people who tried that post sear and didn't achieve anything)

For the question of Survivor + Defender title:
No, since in Presearing you will only be rezzed if both people in party are dead. if only one is dead, no rezz will start. And without a hard rezz in presearing-> No chance of both titles

For question of rezzing pet : Also a no, challenged the Charrbosses and rezzed my lvl 14 pet 200 times (I counted, for those who are interested)
also with dl: how is a Spider lvl 2 supposed to kill a lvl 14-16 pet? Gonna drink Miraculix magic drink?

For the question of the time table...(...wow NOW I have your attention!

I startet it long ago, since I was interested in being lvl 20 in presearing, not for that shabby title and it takes a freakin' huge ammount of time. Since the higher lvl you have the more life you got, the more the pets have to attack you, and the less exp you get. IF you just wanna make a character for that title to show it of POST SEARING...just forget it. It takes you 2 weeks or more to go to the northern part of presearing ascalon. From lvl 14 on to lvl 16 only the Charr bosses give you exp. And you have to go bout 100 times for lvl up to 15 and 200 more for lvl 16. That makes it at least 350 Visits to the charrs. Then you've got the part of DL. It takes you bout three months for reaching lvl 20 (even more if you do something else than NOT D-level 24/7). If you ever got that far, I will promise you, you will NOT leave presearing, because that amount of time and effort would go to waste elsewhere.

...hope my loooooong post made some answers to some questions. For all others: Read the entire Thread! That are you supposed to IF you want some info.

So to all others....see you someday on lvl 20...well IF i am not dead till then because I also aim for drunkard (2) in presearing ...and THAT is really something stupi*ahem*.....really tiresome and time-consuming!

didnt realise i was missing out on gameplay by getting NF first then prophecies

Can i still get 100% explored and all missions done if i am on a NF character ?

Hiya Yadee...

Like Arx Baron said... sure you can! You're not really missing out on gameplay. When you get Prophecies you can start a new char there (if you want), and it will start in pre-searing Ascalon.

And you can get 100% exploration of Tyria with chars from the two other campaigns because pre-searing doesn't count anyway toward your 100%. You can do all the missions as well because, unlike the other two campaigns, there are no missions in the tut phase of Prophecies. They are all in post-searing... all 25 of them. So...

Best place to death level i found was outside barradins estate i managed to aggro two moss spiders and a strider in one they were close enough to the res shrine

best way to level get all the skills you need then get the quests "charr at the gate" from Rurik in ascalon then go outside follow Rurik to the gate get them to kill the charr while you stand within aggro range gaining exp i am currently level 9 and 12% because of this i made my char 3 days ago i have so far only accepted one quest which is the one you get for your first skills then i went to the other places to get skills got the quest and the skills then abbandoned it.
ok continue to get Charr at the gate get the exp from the charr then return to ascalon and abbandon it. repeat this till your level 10 when you stop gaining exp from level 5 charr. now you must go across the wall and kill the 4 bosses this would be done preferably alone to gain most exp possible. repeat this method as before untill level 16 when you stop gaining exp. NOW you death level till 19 then complete all quests and death level more if need be.

I am lvl 16 and when I lvl a strider to 20 i get 168 xp. that is 1% of the way to the next title. I let him run all night while i am asleep. Kill the bird before i go to work and start another one. Get home and kill the bird. So i am getting 2% a day at this time. I know it will get slower more to the end as i get higher lvl.
